Giving…Let me count the ways

Gifts people make to the Charlotte Philharmonic take many forms to match family goals: names permanent endowment; musical chair endowments; charitable remainder trusts; gifts of musical instruments; memorials; bequests; life income plans; and sponsorships. Let the community know of your support of the Philharmonic through sponsorships of a concert, guest artist, musical instrument, reception, or gala event. Regardless of how you choose to designate your gift, including the Philharmonic in your estate plan allows you to play a vital and permanent role in the future of the orchestra.

"Together!" – that’s the key to our Annual Fund Campaign, which kicks off in late September. Each year, we reach out to you and others in the community during our major fundraising initiative. Each year, you respond generously. This year, with local budget cuts spread throughout the community, your help is more important than ever before. Like all major orchestras, the Philharmonic must raise 75% of its annual budget. You might be surprised to learn that ticket sales account for only 23% of our total revenue. The majority of the orchestra’s budget comes from grants, sponsorships and individual contributions from patrons like you who enjoy our performances. Did you also know it takes over $30,000 to mount each concert of our season? Gifts may be in made in a variety of forms including cash and marketable securities, and are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
